Trauma Scene Clean-up Ain't Easy!

Do you know what’s the biggest difficulty bio-hazard clean-up specialists’ face? It is that of a trauma scene. At times the emotion is more than they can bear. The smell of blood and death in the room is so strenuous that it is impossible to finish the job, and so they let another co-worker take over their place. In spite of the difficulty, proper trauma scene clean-up is very important. Blood remains could carry numeral diseases, infections, or pathogens, which will infect the person. Bodily fluids which are left behind can develop harmful bacteria, releasing them into the air or spreading across surfaces.

A detailed trauma scene clean-up, can only be conducted by a certified professional specializing in this type of cleaning service. Trauma scene clean up is an effective form of returning everything back to its normal state, and eliminating the evidence that the event ever occurred. Any crime that involves tear gas, blood or other bodily fluids can cause a serious threat to your family’s health. Blood-borne illnesses and chemical poisons should be removed and your home needs to be disinfected.

Furniture, carpet, clothes and upholstery tend to absorb these hazardous chemicals, viruses and bacteria more than any other surface. Our specialized team is well trained on how to effectively clean and sanitize these areas. Suicides, accidents and violent crimes all require trauma scene clean-up services. Shield your family from any further harm by eliminating the hazardous fluids and chemicals from your common living areas, vehicles and personal belongings.

Cleaning Sewage:

One of the most repugnant jobs is that of cleaning sewage. Sewage spills are the worst and can cause a lot of discomfort in terms of health issues, disgust due to unbearable smell and other things.
Health issue is a major concern when there is a sewage spill which affects people and animals as well.  Hence it is of utmost importance to disinfect the affected area as soon as possible. A lot of diseases can be spread on exposure to open sewage such as Tetanus, Hepatitis A, Giardia, leptospirosis and more. Even people involved in the clean-up process must take safety precautions to avoid falling ill when engaging in sewage cleaning process.

Instructions:

   1
First clear the area that needs to be cleaned, remove all the furniture, and other things that may come in contact with the sewage spill. Always wear protective gear like goggles to protect your eyes, rubber gloves for hands, rubber boots for the feet and a dust mask. These items are a must and will prevent you from coming in direct contact with sewage.
   2
Dispose off any items which are partly or fully contaminated by the spill.  Some items such as carpets and rugs may be cleaned by various methods to avoid further contamination. You can do away with other affected items which you are not sure of keeping such items can cause unnecessary contamination in the future.
   3
Get rid of the solid waste with help of a shovel and put it in a double plastic trash bag. It is very important to see that it doesn’t get spilled more when you dispose the trash bag. If you have a trash bin/container then put it into it. Make sure you seal the trash bag properly.

   4
Use mild detergent + hot water solution to clean hard surfaces such a wood floorings, metal, concrete. Next, rinse the area with a gallon of water mixed with a tablespoon of bleach and let the area to dry.
   5
If there is drywall and plasterboard then remove and replace it if saturated by the sewage.  If they are partly affected by the sewage then follow the same produce as done for hard surfaces.
   6
Make sure that all furniture, appliances, sinks, showers, tubs and toilets are cleaned with bleach solution. Make bleach solution by adding a tablespoon of bleach to one gallon of water.
   7
And the last step is to get rid of all the items used to clean the sewage spill such as brooms, mops and brushes (or you can disinfect them with bleach solution) and the last thing is to let fresh air come in through windows and doors and let the place lighten up from the excessive bad odor.
