Odour can effect your stress levels at home?!

What is odour? Odour is a distinctive unpleasant smell. It is basically the sensation that results when olfactory receptors in the nose are stimulated by particular chemicals in gaseous form. It isn’t pleasant and not something people want to be around.

Odour in homes, buildings or offices may arise from various sources right from human decomposition to the just plain soil. Regular cleaning often helps get rid of general soiling odours, but for another serious type of odours caused by biological material, you need professional help and guidance.

There are different types of odours like compost and organic waste, rubbish odours, landfill gas odours, anaerobic odour, wastewater odour, industrial odour, etc. Most of these odours are caused by lack of oxygen, a mixture of gasses, solid waste, house rubbish or soil. Some of the odours are caused due to sewage, paints and solvents, animal livestock and poultry, food processing, commercial kitchen, etc.

How is it possible to avoid odour? Firstly, proper aeration is required for no odours to be accumulated at one place. A suitable room temperature must be maintained for degradation to take place at a normal pace. Moisture should be maintained and things should be kept in a neat way with minimum wastage.

The faster you get rid of odours, the better it keeps you away from a stressed and dirty environment and also makes it easier to clean. Odour cleaning is a tedious job and hence most of the time professional help is necessary.

We at Bio Cleanse are a team of certified professionals who are trained and experienced in dealing with odour control & clean-up. A to Z about Paper Hoarding

Paper Hoarding is one among many types of hoarding disorders. This kind of hoarding situation involves accumulation of every single paper – be it newspaper, magazine, invoices, bills, letters and much more.

Paper Hoarders generally do not categories the papers they hoard. Most of them find categorizing, a boring activity. They just dump it in a drawer or some box hoping that it would prove helpful in the near future. They feel that if they discard those papers, they will lose out on something really important.

Hoarding one kind of thing and then another, ultimately leads them to end up piling everything. A situation arises where you cannot move around in the houses due to these hoardings. The piles of newspapers, magazines etc. take up so much place, that movement as well as a room’s usability is affected.

Paper Hoarders have answers to all questions that you shoot at them. For example:
If suppose the hoarder is hoarding newspapers and you ask the reason behind it, he might say that the newspaper contains a delicious recipe. You might wonder why s/he is keeping the entire newspaper and suggest him to cut it out the required article. S/He will find some other reason to keep the newspaper like there is a funny comic strip or an informative article etc., citing ‘n’ number of reasons to keep the newspaper. S/He will not give up on it easily. It is found that paper hoarders sometimes indulge in thievery. Books borrowed from the libraries or friends, are usually not returned. The only thought in their mind is the doubt whether s/he will be able to borrow it again, sometime in future.

Any house hoarded with paper is an eye sore, giving a shabby look. There is a risk that the hoarder might end up in hurting himself. His place will serve as a home to many rodents and insects. Mould too can also grow up in such places. Fire breakout is also one among the concerns. It’s not just the house, but relationships too suffer.

De-cluttering becomes really difficult for these hoarders. The hoarder will be much attached to the magazines, newspapers, letters, bank statements, gift-wraps etc. Giving up on it may be hard, but worth it.

Types of decontamination

For many of you who are not familiar with or don’t have an idea what decontamination is?

Decontamination is the process of cleaning different contaminants like micro-organism or hazardous materials from the environment. It can be done to prevent germs and other contaminants from spreading that may be harmful to human health.
There are different types of decontamination of which here are a few:

Human decontamination
It is the process of cleaning the human body to remove contamination caused by hazardous materials. Human decontamination falls in two categories - Mass decontamination and Hospital decontamination. Mass decontamination is the decontamination/disinfection process done for large crowd of people. Generally this is done in industries, factories, etc. and functions as a “human car wash”. Hospital decontamination is a term that is used to provide a decontamination shower built in the hospital. Forensic and crime scene clean-up is also considered as human decontamination.

Water decontamination
Water decontamination is the process of treating or decontaminating polluted water from products. This is caused by various reasons and can be harmful to humans causing typhoid or cholera. Contaminated water can be noticed by the naked eye when the water is discoloured by an algae form.

Air decontamination
The process of disinfecting all impurities in the air is referred to as Air decontamination. Air contamination is caused by smoke, paint, heavy mental, etc. and they can lead to various respiratory diseases as well. Decontamination of air is done by getting rid of pollutants or odour in whatever form.

Fungal decontamination
Contamination caused by fungal particles borne from spores & fungal fragments. They evolve in moisture or high humidity and cause health risk to the immune system. Decontamination of fungus is important so as to prevent mould growth.

Dry decontamination
Dry decontamination is different from the others. It is a decontamination process that does not involve water or any liquid. Dry decontamination is performed in a particular way done in five steps:

Scraping – it is done to remove the contaminant in bulk from the environment.

Absorbent material – absorbent materials are specifically used to absorb all the contaminants.

Adsorbent material – they are materials which adhere to and encapsulate the contaminants.

Vacuuming – it is the physical activity to remove solid materials from the environment.

Pressurized air – the process where low pressure air streams is placed on the surface to remove any solids.

We at Bio Cleanse Pty Ltd take up the task of decontamination with complete professionalism to do the job systematically. Give us a call on 042 741 1789 or visit our webpage: http://www.bio-cleanse.com.au/services/decontamination-cleaning/
