Basement afloat

When we see a house, we see picket fences, well-painted walls, perfect wooden furniture and the ambiance of rooms. But does anyone check the basement! Why not?

Basically, the basement is a spare storage area in a house. Over the years, junk gets piled up and this can create an ideal space for micro-organisms to breed. Beneath all stored items, there could be a water leakage you would not even know about. Water leakages can not only lead to mould generation but can also damage other household properties. These effects link to several health issues like asthma, allergies, rashes, etc.

In cases like this, people tend to worry about the house flooding or damage caused to life and property. It's best advised to be prepared at all times and we at Bio Cleanse Pty Ltd along with our team of trained professionals help you get rid of the damage in a safe and systematic manner.

What makes bio hazard cleaning a good choice

In today’s world, most have an idea what a bio-hazard clean-up is and what is the procedure for a clean-up. But how many of us do follow the given instruction? How many of us play by the rules?

While most us know what bio-hazard clean-up is, most of us are still fully unaware of the danger and damage it may cause. Many times when dealing with bio-hazard cleaning, a lot of bio-hazard waste gets generated such as bio-solids, liquid waste, bodily fluids, etc. All of this has to be contained, transported and disposed of safely. If an ordinary person without protective gear had to do a bio-hazard clean-up, they might end up being exposed to various infectious pathogens and diseases like HIV, Hepatitis B or Hepatitis C.

It is always best advised to hire a reputed and certified cleaning company. These companies have the right tools and equipment to deal with bio-hazard situations like death, trauma, suicide or any violent crime. Bio Cleanse Pty Ltd. is such a company that is dedicated to clean and remediate your property to its pre-loss condition. They have the necessary permits, training, expertise and most important, the willingness to handle gross filthy things that would send most of us running out the door to throw up in the bushes.

How to remove blood stains from materials

Blood stain removal can be a difficult task. Use the tips mentioned below to help you remove blood stains in the correct manner:

Using hydrogen peroxide: This method is effective to remove blood stains while it is still wet. It is advisable to test first by using hydrogen peroxide on a small spot, as hydrogen peroxide can cause stains too. This method can remove stains from porous surfaces.
You have to pour the hydrogen peroxide as per your requirement on the stain. Use gloves while doing this. Use a towel to wipe out the stain. Then pour water on it. Repeat this until the stain vanishes.

Using salt and water:
This method is used to deal with stains on delicate fabrics. If the stain is on a piece of cloth or on your clothes, take the fabric first and rinse it under running water. Take some salt and wipe it to the stain. Then again rinse it with flowing water. Repeat this process until the stain is no more.

Using toothpaste:
This method can be used on clothes which have dry blood stains. Apply toothpaste on the stain and let it dry. Wash the stain with cold water. Repeat this until the stain goes away.

Using household cleaner: On hard wooden floors, use a household cleaner to wipe out the stain.

Using a detergent:
When it comes to mattresses, mix one tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent with two cups of cold water in a large bowl, making a detergent solution. Take a clean cloth, soak it in the solution, squeeze the cloth and apply it to the affected area. Wipe it clean and repeat this step until the stain vanishes. Once the stain has vanished, use a dry cloth to remove the excess water. Let your mattress dry before you use it again.

If there has been a violent crime or suicide which has to lead to excessive blood loss in your home or neigh hood, we at Bio-Cleanse can clean and restore your property to perfection after a crime scene investigation. Odour can effect your stress levels at home?!

What is odour? Odour is a distinctive unpleasant smell. It is basically the sensation that results when olfactory receptors in the nose are stimulated by particular chemicals in gaseous form. It isn’t pleasant and not something people want to be around.

Odour in homes, buildings or offices may arise from various sources right from human decomposition to the just plain soil. Regular cleaning often helps get rid of general soiling odours, but for another serious type of odours caused by biological material, you need professional help and guidance.

There are different types of odours like compost and organic waste, rubbish odours, landfill gas odours, anaerobic odour, wastewater odour, industrial odour, etc. Most of these odours are caused by lack of oxygen, a mixture of gasses, solid waste, house rubbish or soil. Some of the odours are caused due to sewage, paints and solvents, animal livestock and poultry, food processing, commercial kitchen, etc.

How is it possible to avoid odour? Firstly, proper aeration is required for no odours to be accumulated at one place. A suitable room temperature must be maintained for degradation to take place at a normal pace. Moisture should be maintained and things should be kept in a neat way with minimum wastage.

The faster you get rid of odours, the better it keeps you away from a stressed and dirty environment and also makes it easier to clean. Odour cleaning is a tedious job and hence most of the time professional help is necessary.

We at Bio Cleanse are a team of certified professionals who are trained and experienced in dealing with odour control & clean-up. We have all the required detection tools, specialized agents, equipment, products and experience required to handle the odour clean-up job & restore the air quality of the place.

A to Z about Paper Hoarding

Paper Hoarding is one among many types of hoarding disorders. This kind of hoarding situation involves accumulation of every single paper – be it newspaper, magazine, invoices, bills, letters and much more.

Paper Hoarders generally do not categories the papers they hoard. Most of them find categorizing, a boring activity. They just dump it in a drawer or some box hoping that it would prove helpful in the near future. They feel that if they discard those papers, they will lose out on something really important.

Hoarding one kind of thing and then another, ultimately leads them to end up piling everything. A situation arises where you cannot move around in the houses due to these hoardings. The piles of newspapers, magazines etc. take up so much place, that movement as well as a room’s usability is affected.

Paper Hoarders have answers to all questions that you shoot at them. For example:
If suppose the hoarder is hoarding newspapers and you ask the reason behind it, he might say that the newspaper contains a delicious recipe. You might wonder why s/he is keeping the entire newspaper and suggest him to cut it out the required article. S/He will find some other reason to keep the newspaper like there is a funny comic strip or an informative article etc., citing ‘n’ number of reasons to keep the newspaper. S/He will not give up on it easily. It is found that paper hoarders sometimes indulge in thievery. Books borrowed from the libraries or friends, are usually not returned. The only thought in their mind is the doubt whether s/he will be able to borrow it again, sometime in future.

Any house hoarded with paper is an eye sore, giving a shabby look. There is a risk that the hoarder might end up in hurting himself. His place will serve as a home to many rodents and insects. Mould too can also grow up in such places. Fire breakout is also one among the concerns. It’s not just the house, but relationships too suffer.

De-cluttering becomes really difficult for these hoarders. The hoarder will be much attached to the magazines, newspapers, letters, bank statements, gift-wraps etc. Giving up on it may be hard, but worth it.
