Murder Scene? Worry not!

Imagine yourself in the following situation.

You are in your kitchen, preparing tea, you realise that you have run out of sugar. You then decide to ask your neighbour for some. Getting out of your apartment with a bowl in your hand, you ring the doorbell. There is no response. You ring it once again. Still, there isn’t any response. A knock on the door swings it open. Calling out your neighbour’s name, you walk into the house.

murder trauma
You see things scattered across in the living room. The couch has been turned upside down. The flower vases have been broken. Some soap is running on the television at a very loud volume. There is a slipper in the passage that leads to the bedroom. You move towards the bedroom only to see your neighbour lying in the pool of blood. There is no one else in the house as your neighbour stays alone.

What would you do? It is very obvious that you will call the cops. The cops investigate the crime scene and take the body away for an autopsy. You inform your neighbour’s family about his/her death. They arrive immediately and grieve over their loss. Don’t you think you should help them in some other way? If your answer is yes, then how would you go about it?

The answer is simple. Help the family clean up the place and properly dispose of the deceased belongings, etc. At times, this can be a painful chore. Consult us at Bio Cleanse Pty. Ltd., for our trauma cleaning services. We understand your situation and are always willing to help you.

Hoarding and its types

When a person refuses to give up on things and keeps on accumulating them, he is said to be a hoarder. The things might not be of any use to him but he still buys and stores them or refuses to throw stuff away that she or he should have. In the initial days, accumulating things might seem to be done occasionally. But over time, it becomes a compulsion and the hoarder cannot go on without piling things up.

There are many kinds of hoarders around the world. We present to you a few of them here, in this blog post.

hoarding disorder

Rubbish Hoarders

Right from chocolate wrappers to cartons, Rubbish Hoarders are known to hoard almost anything and everything. The houses of these kind of hoarders are nothing less than a rubbish bin. It is not only unclean and disgusting but also serves as a home to many insects and a breeding ground for diseases. Studies have found that these people go through other’s rubbish in hope of finding something that they would love to hoard.

Shopping Hoarders

A certain kind of shopaholics belong to this category of hoarders. Shopping Hoarders are those people who buy things from all the shops they visit. They do not think before buying stuff. They are not bothered whether they would be using the things they bought in the first place. The only thing they know is that they want to buy it. These people often end up with a lot of unused items (mostly with their price tags still on).

Food Hoarders

People hoarding food - Is it true? Yes! There are people who hoard food. These are people who feel that they will run out on food if they do not save it. This results in buying and more buying of food stuff and stuffing it in shelves and refrigerators. The food will, no doubt, be spoiled over time and could be a medium to attract germs and diseases.

Animal Hoarders

Animal Hoarders are those pet lovers who outgrow their love for animals in such a way that they want all for themselves. You will find quite a number of pets at their homes. These pets won’t be properly taken care of. Trips to the vet, proper grooming, feeding, taking them out for walks etc. will suffer for there are many who need the attention. To conclude, there will be diseases and a very unhygienic environment.

Paper Hoarders

When a person is not able to give up any piece of paper, he is termed as a paper hoarder. When a person keeps the magazine for himself for want of just one page, he is termed a paper hoarder. Magazines, newspapers, comics, invoices, books, novels, reports – anything made out of paper is treasured by these people. Paper Hoarders live in a very risky ambience. They might end up burning the whole place down, in case of fire.

Are you one of these? Do you know anyone who shows such symptoms? Do you want professional hoarding clean-up services? Consult us – Bio Cleanse Pty Ltd. We provide all kinds of Hoarding clean-up Services.

Mould Abatement

mould abatement

Mould is present everywhere - they exist indoors as well as outdoors. They are a boon for nature, as they aid in decomposing dead matter such as dead vegetation. They reproduce through tiny seeds called spores which are invisible to the naked eye and travel through the medium of air from one place to another.

Mould thrives under humid conditions. Moisture is helpful for mould to grow and multiply into colonies. If the contact between mould and moisture occurs indoors in a domestic area, then it results in mould problems for the household.

Mould produces a near-repulsive musty odour. Nevertheless, it is hard to detect the source of mould. Mould can sneak into the rear of wallpapers or panelling, the underside of carpets, inside ductwork and roof tiles – practically any nook and cranny which it can find. The reason for mould to flourish in domestic conditions is that the domestic indoor materials are capable of moisture retention, providing an excellent soil for mould to thrive.

Mould does not require a long time to spread. In as little as 48 hours, mould can spread through the property like wildfire, bringing damage and nuisance. Not only does it affect the walls, windows and furniture of one’s house, it also poses a serious health risk for the inmates. Mould exposure can cause conditions such as coughing, eye irritation, skin rashes, headache, sneezing, throat irritation, nasal congestion and respiratory problems. Besides these allergic and irritable conditions, mould can also produce mycotoxins, which can be potentially hazardous for health. For people suffering from asthma, the presence of mould cause asthma attacks.

The dilemma of mould abatement translates into moisture control.
  • Not only the mouldy surface needs to be cleared, but promptly fixing any water problem is also essential to prevent further outbreaks in the future.
  •  Make sure that the roof, gutters, pipes, AC drip pans and pipes are all functioning properly without any water leakage or retention.
  • It is important to let moisture produced from various sources (clothes dryers, stoves, heaters) go out of your house.
  • Use exhaust fans in places such as kitchen and bathroom.
  • It is wise to use air conditioners or dehumidifiers when needed.

Dry Ice Blasting - Benefits

Dry Ice Blasting is recently becoming the latest refuge for cleaning heavy machinery. It is solid carbon dioxide. In Dry Ice Blasting, dry ice is sprayed through a stream of pressurised air on to the object that needs to be cleaned.

Some benefits of Dry Ice Blasting.

  • Less efforts required : Some traditional cleaning methods require disassembling of equipment in order to clean inaccessible parts. Dry Ice Blasting saves you from this disassembling job. As dry ice blasting can be carried out in any weather condition, less effort is required.
  • Quick and thoroughDry Ice Blasting is a quick process. The air stream passes through each and every part in a jiffy, cleaning it thoroughly. It reduces the amount of time required for cleaning considerably.
  • No damage caused to the equipmentDry ice is non-abrasive in nature. Hence, no damage is caused to the equipment that is cleaned. Also, since dry ice blasting doesn’t demand disassembly of parts, the danger of re-attaching parts improperly is also averted.
  • No waste residue is leftDry ice blasting doesn’t leave any residue, as the CO2 pellets vaporise on contact. There is a no waste produced; thereby solving the problem of waste disposal.
  • Increased safety Dry ice is non-hazardous and non-toxic in nature. No residue is left once the entire blasting process is carried out. It is safe for people, as well as for the environment.

Bio Cleanse - Squatters Clean-up

Maggie was doing really well at her job. It was her hard work and dedication that led to her promotion and move to a new city. She had recently bought the apartment she lived in and did not want to sell it. She locked the house and set off on her new career path. An exciting job and a new life awaited her.

Few months into her job, Maggie received a phone call from her friend.

Susie (Friend): Hey Maggie! Why didn’t you tell me that you’re back in town? We could meet up!

Maggie: Susie dear, I am not. I am pretty sure you’re mistaken. You must have seen someone who resembles me.

Susie: I haven’t seen you. I happened to visit your colony. The lights of your apartment were on. I also noticed movement of some figures.

Maggie: Are you sure it was my apartment?

Susie: Yes.

Maggie: Okay. Susie, I’ll have to call you back.

Maggie called up her neighbour to confirm whether there was any truth in what Susie said. To her surprise, her neighbour also said the same thing. Maggie grew worried. She was certain that something was wrong. She had to find it out.

Maggie booked tickets to her town and arrived the next day. She stayed at her neighbour’s place. She realised that what Susie was saying was completely true. There was indeed someone who was staying in her apartment. She called up the cops and with them by her side; they barged into her apartment. There were a group of teenagers who were residing in her apartment. The cops arrested them.

The squatters had made a mess of Maggie’s apartment. Every single step Maggie took landed her in rubbish. She had to get the cleaning done. The conditions in which the squatters lived were inhabitable.

Musty Smell? Time to get some cleaning done!

Bio Cleanse - Mould Remediation
Source : Wikipedia
Sometimes you might have sensed a musty smell in your/your near ones’ home. This could be due to various reasons. One of the reasons could be that of mould growth.

Moisture and a small colony of mould are the only requirements for mould infestation. Mould infestation do not require a very long time to spread. There have been many cases of allergic reactions and respiratory disorders reported due to this. It has been noted that poor lighting conditions and lack of proper ventilation also support mould growth.

As mould grows, it releases foul gases in the air. These gases are responsible for the musty smell in houses. They get absorbed in carpets, clothes, curtains and other cloth materials. Once this smell permeates in, cleaning becomes difficult.

That’s when it’s time to consult professionals for cleaning services. Bio Cleanse Pty Ltd is experienced in Mould Remediation and Odour Clean-up. Contact us on 042 741 1789 or visit http://www.bio-cleanse.com.au/services/ and we will do a complete clean-up for you.
